About Me

I am a mixed-media artist and painter based in Columbus, working with water-based paints and colored pencils, and occasionally, collage. I have done extensive work within the realm of décollage, which has played a significant role in my development and continues to shape my approach to texture, identity, and storytelling within my work.
I am inspired by the world around me; cities, nature, everyday moments, and the connections between people. I create postcard-style pieces inspired by different places. Rather than emphasizing well-known landmarks, I aim to capture more intangible experiences; such as the mood of a street, a sense of nostalgia, or the romanticism of a specific moment in time.
Themes of identity, linguistics, history, community, and connection often emerge within my work. I also create pieces driven simply by a sense of beauty and admiration. Portraiture holds a special place in my work, and I enjoy creating art that reflects the depth and individuality of diverse people.
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in painting. Outside of my artwork, I am a full-time PreK teacher and am also certified to teach English as a Second Language. Language and linguistics are passions of mine, and both teaching and art serve similar purposes in my life: they are ways I connect, communicate, and foster understanding.
For me, art is a form of conversation. It’s how I process the world, and how I engage with it at the same time.
